Online retailer Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for the newest chapter in the Halo saga, Halo 3: ODST.
The Xbox 360 exclusive expansion builds upon the campaign and multiplayer modes in Halo 3 by putting players in the shoes of an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) rather than Master Chief.
The campaign surrounds the events leading up to the Master Chief’s return to New Mombasa in Halo 3. Online play will feature exclusive new maps and expanded Forge options.
Since going up for pre-order earlier today, Halo 3: ODST has jumped 2,781% to become the 27th bestselling gaming item at Amazon at the time of this article. It is likely to surge even higher in the next 24-48 hours.
