Online retailer HDAddicts.com has alerted us to a release date issued by Fox to retailers for Aliens vs Predator: Requiem. The sequel to Aliens vs Predator is currently scheduled to arrive on Blu-ray Disc April 15. day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Not many moviegoers made it to the Aliens vs Predator: Requiem theatrical debut on Christmas Day. Directed by special effects gurus/brothers Greg Strause and Colin Strause, AvP:R was critically panned for offering little new to the series other than some extra gory death scenes and a pred-alien hybrid. Since most Blu-ray and PS3 owners sat this one out at theaters, we’re guessing the home video run will prove more successful.
An official announcement by Fox is not expected for a few weeks yet, so please remember this release date is not set in stone until that happens. Also, we don’t expect to have high resolution cover art, disc specs, or special features until the announcement is made.
Aliens vs Predator: Requiem will carry Fox’s typical Blu-ray SRP of $39.99. Check back regularly for updates which we’ll publish as soon as they’re received.
