A CHUD message board poster has dropped what appears to be the first full body look at a Na’vi alien from James Cameron’s Avatar.
The toy is an action figure of the Avatar Jake Sully as played by Sam Worthington in the film. CHUD has seen the 24 minutes of sneak preview footage and says the mug shot on the shield stand is, in fact, identical to the CGI rendering in the finished film.
The picture owner claims the figure is from an upcoming McFarlane Toys line. As Comic-Con alerted us, Mattel holds the toy rights to Avatar and this figure fits in perfectly with previously revealed human figures and vehicles.
What do you all think about the Na’vi look? Jake is not quite as elegant as the female Na’vi and comes across as a gangly blue elf with a Beetlejuice shrunken head. I’ll reserve final judgment until the trailer drops on August 21
