DVDEmpire.com has added January 23 pre-orders for ‘Alien vs. Predator,’ ‘Courage Under Fire,’ ‘Commando’ and ‘Men of Honor’ on Blu-ray Disc. This information matches up with trailers for ‘Men of Honor’ and ‘Courage Under Fire’ that will appear on the upcoming ‘Flight of the Phoenix (2004)’ release.
Also appearing in trailer form on ‘Flight of the Phoenix (2004)’ is the reigning release date rumor king, ‘X-Men: The Last Stand.’ We had previously reported this Blu-ray Disc was most likely coming out on November 14 to take advantage of Playstation 3’s November 17 release. And at one time, this was Fox’s intention as they issued pre-order information to retailers complete with a UPC.
In speaking directly with Fox recently, we’ve learned the release date is currently up in the air. There’s still a chance it could sneak in on November 14, but with each passing day sans an announcement, the odds continue to shrink. At the same time, the trailer appearing on ‘Flight of the Phoenix (2004)’ is a good indicator X3 will be swarming store shelves either alongside or before the January 23 wave.
