The first trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar attacked the web this morning and was met with wildly mixed reactions. I’ve read people summing up their initial impressions with “brilliant,” “sucks,” and everything in between.
Avatar was designed to play in a large venue and in 3D, not on a little computer monitor. That’s no excuse for how some of you are embracing – or not – the visual design of Pandora and its alien inhabitants. But keep in mind what you’ve seen today should look infinitely more impressive when projected onto a massive screen.
