Football fans, ’tis the day you’ve been anxiously awaiting. 2K Sports this morning finally put years of speculation and unrest to bed by officially announced the 2K football franchise will return this summer on next-gen gaming consoles, presumably Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 at the very least. ‘All-Pro Football 2K8’ is expected to include, “legendary gameplay, innovative features, and outstanding visual quality sports gamers have come to expect from 2K Sports.”
“Football gamers have been awaiting the return of the 2K series,” said Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. “All-Pro Football 2K8 will deliver an authentic next generation gridiron experience and we are happy to give fans another choice in the football category.”
