There are a couple new updates on the Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer front though neither of them indicate another trailer is in the works. In fact you might as well consider this latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer as the last one and dismiss any expectations you may have otherwise been harboring.
Yesterday the new trailer became the topic of a clever promotional push for Disney and Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release. Think Mystery Science Theater only with each of the Pixar Emotions adding their appropriate commentary.
Technically the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is being viewed by Riley on a computer and there’s a little gag about streaming video online early on. We get to watch the Emotions watch the trailer, and it’s a lot of fun if lacking banter at times.

The second update is confirmation from J.J. Abrams that the recently released Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is in fact the final one before the film’s December 18th release date. Abrams told Extra as much, and also confirmed that new commercials will be coming that will likely include new footage not yet seen.
For the most part is appears as if J.J. Abrams and the Disney/Lucasfilm marketing teams are trying to keep as much about the film in the mystery box as possible. Personally I think that’s a great thing and hope several of the big scenes and sets are kept 100 percent under wraps until the film’s release.
