Pixar Animation Studio’s latest feature-length movie, Soul, was originally supposed to debut in theaters this past Thanksgiving. The ongoing pandemic forced Disney to rethink their plans, so Soul instead will released exclusively on Disney+ beginning December 25th i.e. Christmas Day. It is available for all Disney+ subscribers without any additional charges.
Soul should drop on Disney Plus sometime around midnight PT or 3 am PT based on how other exclusives have premiered on the streaming platform. Find out how to stream and watch The Mandalorian Chapter 16 online directly from Disney+, the exclusive home to the series.
Disney+ Subscription
If you’ve opened Christmas gifts, are ready to watch Soul and don’t have a Disney+ subscription yet, you will need to sign-up for Disney+ at the official website or app. Signing up allows you to immediately watch Soul and other shows/movies on the platform as you have time for, such as The Mandalorian.
The cost for Disney+ remains one of the cheapest of all streaming services at only $6.99 a month. Subscribers get more than their money’s worth with seemingly endless Star Wars, Pixar, Disney, Marvel and National Geographic content ready to be streamed.
Disney is also offering an option of subscribing for $69.99 a year up front that drops the price down to $5.84 a month, over a dollar a month less than going month-to-month. This is a good option if you’re confident that you’ll want to keep watching Disney+ over the next year. With Marvel shows coming on deck as well as additional Star Wars originals, it’s not a bad idea.
Disney+ Hulu ESPN+ Bundle
A $12.99 a month bundle option including Disney+, ESPN+ and the ad-supported version of Hulu is another option to consider. This deal dubbed “Get All Three” is a fantastic bargain that is already being enjoyed by millions of subscribers.
If you already have a Hulu account then you will receive a bill credit for each month that you’re subscribed to the bundle deal.
Look for the Disney+ app to show up on a variety of devices including Xbox and PlayStation gaming consoles; LG, Samsung and Sony TVs, Roku boxes, and Amazon Fire TV boxes and Fire Sticks.
You’ll need to install the latest update to have the Disney+ app appear after registering your Get All Three account.

Soul Preview
Soul is already being called one of Pixar’s best, and that’s saying something considering the studio’s resume.
It’s a story about learning to enjoy life and comes at the perfect time following a tough 2020 for just about everyone. You might want to have a tissue or three ready before streaming Soul on Disney+… just in case.
