Remember the Minecraft movie that has quietly been in development? Probably not; but there’s now official an official Minecraft movie update direct from Microsoft that helps solidify a couple key development milestones.
The first official Minecraft movie confirmation is that Peter Sollett has signed on to direct. Sollett is known for helming Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist back in 2008 before moving over to the TV side for the next decade. Microsoft wants fans to be aware of Nick & Norah so they included the film’s trailer in their press announcement — and we’ve passed it on to you below.
Microsoft has also confirmed a March 4, 2022 Minecraft movie release date so mark your calendar.
