Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow must feel ecstatic this weekend knowing that his film’s star, Chris Pratt, literally became a household name over the past 72 hours. Guardians of the Galaxy blasted off at the box office with roughly $94 million during its opening weekend, and Pratt will now be sought after to headline other action/adventure films with his great performance and the massive exposure the film has received.
To tie together the Pratt films, Trevorrow tweeted a new Chris Pratt Jurassic World image the night that Guardians of the Galaxy opened. The image shows Pratt’s Owen character, staring intensely at something off-camera while holding onto a cage. He’s probably looking at a nasty dinosaur and imagining it chasing him, which it will probably do later on in the film.
Jurassic World bows on June 12, 2015, and hopefully we’ll get our first footage from the film later this year or by the Super Bowl at the latest. A little dinosaur action to go along with the Star-Lord wouldn’t hurt, either.
