Henry Cavill is still hard at work on Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. Despite the film being under lens for at least a couple months, thus far the only Cavill sightings by shutterbugs have been of the Clark Kent variety.
That changed over this past weekend as Cavill donned the superhero digs and hit the streets of Chicago along with one of his co-stars, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, for a little nighttime work. It’s a classic Superman scene has the Man of Steel embraces his earthly love from the Daily Planet before taking off to whereabouts unknown.
To achieve the flight effect, the film’s crew have Cavill on a steel cable rig to light him high up into the air. Cavill has an expressionless face as he’s hoisted up, but you have to think he’s at least a little nervous, right? Either that or the Superman character is rubbing off on the actor.
In addition to the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice images from the Chicago on-location shoot via Just Jared that you will find below, Chicago affiliate Fox 32 got some footage of the shoot so you can also watch some behind-the-scenes Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice video below as well.
Sadly Warner Bros. will not release Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice until March 25, 2016, which seems like an eternity from now. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be making its home video debut by that time.
