‘ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove!’ Get Release Date and New Trailer

HumaNature Studios has been working hard on ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! since it originally began as a Kickstarter project. They’ve so far enough to feel comfortable selecting March 1st, 2019 as the game’s official release date on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! is designed to carry forward many of the visual and aural cues of the classic original game — not its less-than-memorable sequels.

Take a look at the new gameplay trailer below. Funkadelic grooves? Check. Art design that matches and subtly improves upon the original? Check again. Fun random world generation? Should be present as the description describes world generation as “procedurally generated”, but we’ll need to play the final game in order to safely check that box.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! has also been designed to carry forward couch co-op on consoles and four-player coop on PC, but it also introduces four-player online play and up to nine playable characters.

Getting groovy again will only set you back $19.99 when ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! drops in under three months.
