SEGA Genesis Flashback to Offer Premium Look, Cartridge Support and 85 Games

AtGames is upcoming their game later this year with the SEGA Genesis Flashback retro gaming console that looks and operates like a SEGA Genesis of old with modern upgrades tossed in for good measure.

You’ll first notice a cartridge slot atop the SEGA Genesis Flashback. This new console can play just about every old SEGA Genesis and Mega Drive original cartridge game. SEGA Master System cartridges are not supported.

There’s no need to rush onto Ebay and start buying old SEGA Genesis cartridge games if you don’t have any. The SEGA Genesis Flashback has 85 games built-in including my personal favorite time sucker from that era, Phantasy Star, and its sequels.

Here’s the complete SEGA Genesis Flashback games list:

Upgrades include two new high performance 2.4ghz wireless controllers styled after the Sega Genesis originals; two legacy controller ports for optional wired gamepads; 720p HDMI output; scan line filtering; and a save/pause/rewind for every game.

AtGames is also bringing back the Genesis Classic Game Console with 81 built-in games and two wired controllers; as well as the Ultimate Portable Game Player with a new SD-card slot, rechargeable battery, and save functionality for the inclusive Phantasy Star games.

All three SEGA consoles are coming to stores this fall.
