LEGO and Warner Bros. Interactive have officially announced the return of LEGO City Undercover, this time on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
LEGO City Undercover was originally released for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. It spawned a new hero character, Chase McCain, who received a physical LEGO figure as part of the LEGO City line.
Anyone following the 2017 LEGO reveals might have noticed that one of the upcoming City sets for early next year includes what appears to be a Chase McCain figure. The announcement of his game’s relaunch on new platforms confirms that Chase is indeed returning in virtual and physical form.
Another important aspect of this announcement is the inclusion of Nintendo Switch as a platform. To date no third party publisher has formally announced a release time frame for a Nintendo Switch game despite games shown in the teaser announcement. LEGO City Undercover is now the first and looks like a potential launch title in March.
We’ll share more details as they become available.
