Last Thursday’s latest Nintendo Direct revealed The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D release date on Nintendo 3DS is closer than anyone anticipated, and the remastered game’s handheld debut will coincide with a couple other big Nintendo releases in what is shaping up to be an expensive gaming month with amiibo wave 3 factored in.
The official The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D release date is Friday, February 13. Another way to look at the release date is it falls one day before Valentine’s Day and also on the same day that Universal’s 50 Shades of Grey drops into theaters.
Gamers will also want to take note that February 13 is the same day Nintendo is releasing the New 3DS XL portable gaming system with a second analog button-stick (is it a rotatable button or a stick?) as well as Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, the latter of which has been available to own overseas since last year. Purchasing both new games and the New 3DS will set you back a cool $280.
Nintendo also announced a GameStop exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D New 3DS that does not include the game or a power charger. Despite those deficiencies, the $200 exclusive was snapped up and sold out at GameStop.com within minutes of appearing for sale, following in the tradition of the limited edition he Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D game with figure that also sold out in minutes.
