Intellivision Entertainment has taken the wraps off the Intellivision Amico gaming console and it’s unlike any throwback machine that’s come to market yet.
Amico appears to pay homage to the past while simultaneously embracing future by not building in its games and embracing the development all-new games. This approach is quite different than Nintendo and their miniature throwback consoles that tilt their appeal toward a quick hit of nostalgia and not much else.
Right now Amico is still a concept in that the console concept design is complete in digital form only. Additional tweaks are all but given so what you see in the Intellvision Amico reveal trailer below will likely differ from the final retail version.
