‘Disney Infinity’ Was to Receive ‘Rogue One’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Figures

Disney Infinity Rogue One

What was left on the cutting room floor after Disney abruptly cancelled Disney Infinity? This fascinating gaming story from 2016 continues to bear fruit into the New Year with inside looks at what could have been.

The latest reveal of leaked images comes in the form of a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Baze Malbus Disney Infinity figure digital render by artist B Allen. It’s a striking figure for one of several that were rendered for what would have been this holiday’s big Disney Infinity Play Set release from developer Ninja Theory.

B Allen also revealed that he and the character sculpting team were working on figures for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live-action remake, most likely Belle (Emma Watson) and the Beast (Dan Stevens). In a message response he states that in-progress looks at the Disney Infinity Beauty and the Beast figures will be coming in the future.

As for the other Rogue One Disney Infinity figures that theoretically may have included Jyn, Chirrut, Cassian, Krennic and K-2S0, B Allen plans on sharing a look at those as well. When remains a mystery so we’ll have to patiently wait for the big reveals.

If you’re wondering whether these cancelled figures that also include Moana and Maui from Moana, as well as 15″ collector’s figures including Darth Vader, will ever see release then best to squash those hopes right now. Prototypes of various stages of production do exist but any chance of them seeing the light of day in mass release died when Disney Infinity was cancelled in May 2016.
