Disney Interactive has been teasing a new Disney Infinity 3.0 announcement for their D23 panel next weekend for at least the past month. I had been speculating that they would finally unveil the Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Play Set. Today my speculation was proven completely wrong.
The official Disney Infinity Twitter account tweeted out a new graphic Saturday morning promoting the upcoming big D23 panel set for 11am on Sunday, August 16. The graphic includes new Disney Infinity 3.0 Disney Originals figures from Inside Out as well as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mulan and Olaf. In the middle are slots for three as-of-yet announced Disney Originals figures.
Given the pro-Disney crowd in attendance at D23 I would expect these three new figures to be classic Disney characters that fans have been clamoring for. Your guess is as good as mine, and we’ll know who exactly these three characters are in only eight days time.
What’s even more crazy is that Disney Infinity 3.0 will be only two weeks away from its August 30 release date when the D23 panel new figures unveiling takes place.
