A trio of nefarious villains are joining the Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes lineup as playable characters/figures after a big reveal during the Marvel Games Comic-Con panel on Saturday in San Diego, as tweeted by Disney Interactive social media maven Allison Petrek.
The first villain is Loki, a figure we suspected after the Disney Infinity 2.0 PlayStation Collector’s edition set included a seventh figure slot that Disney Interactive kept empty in the promotional photos. Loli appeared numerous times as a character in The Avengers Play Set trailer, so it only made sense he would be playable in the game.
Green Goblin is the second playable villain and a character who also appeared in the original Disney Infinity 2.0 trailer. If that trailer holds true then you will be able to use Green Goblin on his glider while tossing exploding pumpkin heads at enemies in The Ultimate Spider-Man Play Set.
Ronan the Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy is the third villain and he will be playable in the Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set. Including Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, there are a total of six figures for the Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set.
Here’s a teaser image that Allison tweeted, and I’ll follow up with clearer images once Disney Interactive makes them available.
