Developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are betting that the future is now in the next iteration of Call of Duty. The following Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer will hold your hand as it offers a glimpse at the tool set players will have at their disposal in this near-futuristic shooter.
Glen Schofieldd, GM & Co-Founder of Sledgehammer Games, narrates the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Future Tech & Exoskeleton trailer as it touches upon one cool piece of future-tech after another. He starts by talking about the Threat Detection Grenade that is able to scan the immediate area and reveal hiding enemies when it detonates. It’s a purely strategic tool, but one that could be powerful in the right hands.
Next is the Mobile Barricade that takes the idea of cover to the next level. This barricade follows the movement of the player that syncs to it, then automatically opens up an opening to fire and closes it when the shooting stops. It’s like having a little robotic friend helping you out without having to tell it what to do.
Michael Condrey, Co-Founder and Studio Head of Sledgehammer Games, takes over to discuss the Exoskeleton. It has a jumping ability like the Titanfall suits, but it can also throw enemies further, run faster, rip doors off cars, and cloak on command.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 4.
