Assassin’s Creed Rogue Launch Trailer Invites Betrayal

Tomorrow is Assassin’s Creed day for Ubisoft as not one, but two new games in the venerable franchise will be available to play from start to finish. Those games are the impressive and expansive Assassin’s Creed Unity for new-gen consoles, and Assassin’s Creed Rogue for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue puts players into the shoes of Shay, a former member of the Brotherhood that has betrayed them and developed his own creed to take down the Assassins anywhere they might be hiding and at any cost — hence the subtitle “Rogue.” The game will visit many locations ranging from the Arctic to Alabama and New York, among other locales, all set during the Seven Years’ War.

Those of you who loved the naval combat sequences from the past couple Assassin’s Creed games will be happy to learn that Shay has his own ship and navigating it across the seas will play a role in the game.

Below you will find the Assassin’s Creed Rogue launch trailer that puts Shay’s self-imposed mission into perspective, as well as shines a light on the gameplay and visuals you can expect from the game running on the previous console generation.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is also being developed for a release on PC sometime in 2015.
