Jericho is one of those television shows that enjoys a rabid and devoted fan base yet lacks mass appeal. It’s heralded by critics yet fought week after week to keep its ratings above water.
Jericho’s ratings were so borderline that CBS canceled the show after only one season. This sent the fans into a frenzy, sparking a massive online outpouring of support to revive the show. In May 2007 CBS did just, giving Jericho a second lease on life.
Unfortunately the second season turned out to be the last (for now anyways), but that’s no reason to not want to relive it or experience it for the first time. On June 17, CBS Home Entertainment will release all seven episodes from season two on DVD bringing that possibility to reality.
