Free Destiny Beta Codes Up For Grabs

As you may already know, Activision and Bungie will be kicking off the Destiny beta on Sony platforms (PS3 and PS4) in less than a week, followed by Microsoft consoles (Xbox 360, Xbox One) a little less than a week after that. The surest way to join the Destiny beta is to pre-order the game, but you can also win a code from several participating websites — including this one!

Before I get to the free Destiny beta codes contest, today is the day that Bungie opened up the web portal allowing beta code holders to select which platform they want to play the beta on. The surprise revelation about this is that each Destiny beta code registereed entitles its holder to three separate betas. In other words, one code will get you and two buddies into any platform of your choice.

Here’s how you get into the Destiny beta and select a platform once the code is acquired:

• Go to bungie.net/beta and follow the instructions. You must have a valid Bungie.net account, so if you do not already have an account, you must create one
• After you create or sign-in to your Bungie.net account, you will be asked to verify your email address before entering your 9 digit Destiny Beta code
• Once you have redeemed your Beta code, your account will be approved for Beta access
• Starting July 10, you must visit your account profile page on Bungie.net to select the platform of your choice
• Shortly before the Beta begins for the platform of your choice (July 17 for PlayStation systems; July 23 for Xbox systems), Bungie will email you your Destiny Beta code – your Destiny Beta code will also be visible via your Bungie.net Account Profile/Redeemed Codes page, secured behind your login credentials
