Now that you’ve watched The X-Files: The Event Series finale tonight live streaming or on Fox TV, next up for the revival series starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson is a disc-based home video premiere on Blu-ray and DVD. If that’s a must-have then you’re in luck in being able to immediately check off the box.
Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for The X-Files: The Event Series Blu-ray and DVD appropriately timed with tonight’s series finale. The Blu-ray is priced at $29.99 while the DVD comes in at $19.98. Bonus features are unknown at this time though I’d expect a decent selection considering the importance of these six new episodes, the first new episodes in 15 years.
We don’t know if Fox will order up an 11th season of The X-Files and even if they want to, aligning the schedules of Duchovny, Anderson and creator Chris Carter may prove an impossibility. At the very least the ratings for the revival series were more than acceptable to warrant additional episodes so cross your fingers and hope for the best.
