The Witch Headed to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital This Summer: Get the Details

The Witch Blu-ray

Sundance darling and 2015 Directing Award winner, The Witch, will start freaking you out with the black goat this summer when it makes its Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD debut on May 17th.

The Witch stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson and Katie Dickie in a simplified and unconventional horror tale about a banished Puritan family who encounters an inexplicable evil when one of their five children vanish. It scored an 89 percent approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes and our own movie review Jon Hueber called it “very, very unsettling.”

Lionsgate’s Blu-ray presentation of The Witch will come packaged with a Digital HD version of the film and offer 1.66:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Director Robert Eggers pitches in an audio commentary to highlight the bonus features:

  • Audio Commentary with Director Robert Eggers
  • “The Witch: A Primal Folklore” Featurette
  • Salem Panel Q&A
  • Design Gallery

You can currently pre-order The Witch on Digital at Amazon.com. The Witch Blu-ray combo cover art and trailer are below.
