Vin Diesel steps away from the Fast & Furious franchise to star as legendary warrior Kaulder in The Last Witch Hunter, a fantasy flick that is headed to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital in early 2016. The Digital HD version arrives first on January 12 while the Blu-ray and DVD versions are nearly a month later on February 2.
The Last Witch Hunter, which also stars Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Julie Engelbrecht (Before the Fall) and Michael Caine struggled to find an audience in North America despite Diesel’s millions of social media followers. Overseas was a different story where almost 75 percent of its $108 million box office haul came from.
Lionsgate is offering up The Last Witch Hunter on Blu-ray and Digital in 1080p video with DTS:X audio. Despite the film not being a commercial success, Lionsgate is still including a decent selection of bonus features:
- “Crafting the Magic: The Last Witch Hunter” Featurette
- Animated Short Films – The Origins of the Axe and Cross
- The Last Witch Hunter Sizzle Reel / “Paint It, Black”
- Audio Commentary with Director Breck Eisner
- Deleted Scenes
Pre-orders are up for The Last Witch Hunter on Blu-ray or DVD combo at Amazon.com.
