Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher ‘Batman’ Films Get 4K Treatment and Awful Covers

The Batman four film collection that began with Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989 and ended with Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin in 1997 is coming to 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos audio on September 17th in celebration of Batman’s 80th anniversary.

On that date you will find in stores Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns, as well as Schumacher’s Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, packaged individually and in the Batman Four Film Collection 4K box set.

Each film has been remastered in 4K with HDR and is packaged with rather bland new comic-inspired cover art and more than 17 hours of previously released extras, including director feature-length audio commentaries on all four films. No new bonus features were commissioned for this release.

Here are the individual pre-order links at Amazon for each Batman Four Film Collection title. Note that prices should drop between now and September 17th with the lowest price being the actual pre-order price per Amazon’s guarantee.
