Legal crime returns for another eventful night when Universal’s sequel, The Purge: Anarchy, delivers its unique brand of terror to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on its October 21 home video release date.
Starring Frank Grillo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, Carmen Ejogo, Zoe Soul and Michael K. Williams, The Purge: Anarchy is set in downtown Los Angeles where five ordinary citizens must band together in order to survive the government-mandated 12 hours of legal crime known as The Purge. The sequel has earned $29.8 million at the domestic box office thus far, coming up a little short of the original’s $34 million take in 2013.
Universal is delivering The Purge: Anarchy to Blu-ray in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 2.35:1 1080p video. The Blu-ray edition includes DVD and Digital HD versions, and the deleted scenes are exclusive to it.
In total, there are only two extras: the aforementioned deleted scenes and ‘Behind the Anarchy’: Take a front row seat for the action and adrenaline of The Purge as you join the cast and crew on the streets during the madness of the annual ritual.
The Purge: Anarchy carries an SRP of $34.98 and can be pre-ordered ahead of its October 21 release date. Check out the trailer and Blu-ray cover art below.
