The Expendables 3 Unrated Cut Coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD in November

Sylvester Stallone assembles the biggest collection of action heroes yet in The Expendables 3, a victim of a pirated copy prior to its theatrical debut that likely put the final nail in the coffin on the franchise. Despite minimal box office returns, The Expendables 3 is still coming to home video, and it will do so in the new The Expendables 3 Unrated Cut.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment will first release The Expendables 3 Unrated Cut to Digital HD on November 11. The Blu-ray and DVD versions, packaged in a combo set with Digital HD, makes its way to stores two weeks later on November 25 — right before Black Friday. Both the unrated and theatrical versions will be included in the combo pack with the unrated cut running an additional five minutes in length.

Joining Stallone in The Expendables 3 are Jason Statham, Jet Li, Antonio Banderas , Kelsey Grammer, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell, Victor Ortiz, Robert Davi, with Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Expect The Expendables 3 to sound incredible on Blu-ray as Lionsgate is employing a Dolby TrueHD Atmos Mix, one of several upcoming titles across multiple studios that will be utilizing the new sound format that plays on receivers supporting Dolby TrueHD.  Here’s a list of all the bonus features:

  • The Expendables 3 Documentary
  • “New Blood: Stacked and Jacked” Featurette
  • “The Total Action Package” Featurette
  • “Christmas Runs the Gauntlet” Extended Scene
  • Gag Reel
