Nate Parker’s highly praised The Birth of a Nation will make its way to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on a January 10th, 2017 release date. A Digital HD version was not mentioned in the announcement from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment so is assumed to drop the same day.
The Birth of a Nation rose to critical acclaim across the festival circuit and was only slowed when its writer, director and star, Nate Parker, became embroiled in a battle against past transgressions. Despite the controversy, The Birth of a Nation has earned nearly $16 million at the box office from an estimated $8.5 million budget.
