‘Taxi Driver’ Getting Individual 4K Blu-ray Release in SteelBook Case

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are plucking Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver starring Robert De Niro out of their Columbia Classics Volume 2 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray box set and giving it an individual release on June 25th. Unlike the box set, this separate release that fans have been waiting for will come in a SteelBook case.

Everything else about this release is identical to what was offered in the Columbia Classics Volume 2 4K UHD set. Here’s a recap of what that entailed across two discs.

  • Restored from the original camera negative, presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision
  • English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio + mono DTS-HD
  • Special Features:
    • Making Taxi Driver Documentary
    • Storyboard to Film Comparisons with Martin Scorsese Introduction
    • Animated Photo Galleries
    • 20th Anniversary Re-Release Trailer

  • Feature presented in high definition, sourced from the 4K master
