‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and ‘The Skywalker Saga’ 4K Blu-ray Release Date Leaked

Best Buy has historically published early home video release dates for numerous blockbuster films when listing their exclusive Steelbooks. When it comes to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Canadian Best Buy website gave us two release date gifts for the price of one.

The long rumored nine-movie Star Wars 4K Ultra HD box set is now confirmed via Best Buy Canada for a March 31st, 2020 release date. This box set will includes episodes one through nine, all the way through The Rise of Skywalker. Early artwork from Best Buy Canada is pictured above.

This 27-disc box set will not include Rogue One or Solo as those films are not part of the overarching Skywalker story. The former has still never had a physical 4K release. Don’t be surprised if Disney and Lucasfilm drop Rogue One on 4K the same date.

Since The Skywalker Saga box set includes The Rise of Skywalker, that film’s physical home video release date should also be March 31st, 2020. The Digital release is expected to come earlier in the same month.

This date shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, also theatrically released in December, came to Blu-ray and 4K on March 27th, 2018. The Rise of Skywalker follows the same release pattern.

Best Buy Canada is also listing an exclusive The Rise of Skywalker 4K Steelbook release. This should appear on the Best Buy USA website in the coming days.

I’ll share more information about this big Star Wars 4K home video news as it comes to light.
