Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars never got the complete wrap up it deserved after Disney purchased the company and took a different animation route with Star Wars Rebels. Season 6 was in the middle of production at the time and its fate left hanging in limbo.
Eventually a selection of episodes in the works were wrapped up and released on Netflix. Those episodes brought closure to some of the open storylines and took a much deeper look at what the Force is and what it means to become a Force Ghost.
Recently Lucasfilm and Disney released storyboards and rough story reels from even more episodes at the official Star Wars website, and those last pieces of The Clone Wars will be included on the Blu-ray and DVD release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions aka Season 6, arriving in stores on November 11.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions on Blu-ray and DVD also includes an all-new 16-minutes documentary that explores the making of the entire series, from Season 1 through Season 6.
