This fall Disney is pulling the animated classic and studio’s first-ever animated movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs out of their vault and bringing it to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time ever. The release date is October 10th, 2023.
Multiple retail exclusives will be released the same day including a Steelbook exclusive at Best Buy and collectible pin at Walmart.
Once again Disney has run new scans of the original nitrate negative to create the 4K transfer for this release. Disney Animation experts Eric Goldberg and Michael Giaimo oversaw the effort.
A Digital copy and Blu-ray format edition of the film will be included with audio on the 4K presentation in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
The inclusive Blu-ray is expected to include bonus features from the previous release.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs joins Cinderella as the second animated classic remastered for 4K during Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration this year.
