On April 23rd, Fox Home Entertainment will deliver Ridley Scott’s Alien on 4K Ultra HD physical and digital formats for the very first time in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary this year.
Last year 20th Century Fox at Company 3/Deluxe Entertainment Services Group restored Alien in 4K. The restoration 4K scans were performed by EFilm. Scott and Pam Dery supervised the process to ensure the restoration remained faithful to the director’s vision.
Both the inclusive Blu-ray and 4K versions will feature 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The theatrical version only will also include 4.1 DTS-HD Master Audio as an alternative option.
