Showtime’s horror sensation Penny Dreadful starring Eva Green, Josh Hartnett and Timothy Dalton will be scaring up a new audience when it makes its Blu-ray and DVD debut on October 7.
Penny Dreadful has been a breakout original series hit for Showtime and arrived at the perfect time as veteran series Dexter signed off. The “psychosexual drama,” as Showtime loves to call it, reworks literature’s most infamous monsters and villains in terrifying new ways.
As Penny Dreadful Season 1 only runs eight episodes, CBS Home Entertainment is almost able to pack all eight of them onto Blu-ray Discs. A third disc is also included in the Penny Dreadful Season 1 Blu-ray, and that one is dedicated to bonus features and the season finale.
