The classic board game Ouija comes to life in Universal’s movie of the same name, and that film is coming to home video in early 2015.
Universal has announced a January 13, 2015 release date for Ouija on Digital HD. Blu-ray and DVD versions of the film will arrive a few weeks later on February 3, 2015.
Ouija stars Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel) and Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf) as teens who use a Ouija board in an attempt to find out what happened to one of their friends when they died. Instead they contact a spirit within the board and set off a deadly chain of events.
Moviegoers flocked to see Ouija at cinemas as the film, produced for a budget of around $5 million, has gone on to earn over $72 million at the worldwide box office. It’s another low budget horror hit for Blumhouse Productions (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge) who worked in conjunction with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes on the project.
The Blu-ray edition of Ouija is a combo pack with DVD and Digital HD inclusive. The feature film will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Bonus features include:
