In less than two weeks, Jessica Jones and Matt Murdock aka Daredevil will formally meet for the first time in Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix. These two defenders of Hell’s Kitchen are already linked this month in a completely different way.
Marvel and Netflix have announced plans to bring Daredevil Season 2 and Jessica Jones Season 1 to Blu-ray and DVD on August 22nd. The simultaneous release will piggyback off the premiere of The Defenders and deliver enough Hell’s Kitchen entertainment to last the rest of the year.
Both the Blu-ray and DVD version of each season will include all 13 episodes in high definition as well as 5-1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Unfortunately 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray versions aren’t on the table. At least not yet.
Also not present on either Blu-ray release are any semblance of bonus features. You’ll have to rely on YouTube for a behind-the-scenes look at these Marvel and Netflix shows.
