MTV’s young adult series The Shannara Chronicles will branch into high-def home video with the December 6th release of The Shannara Chronicles Season One on Blu-ray and Digital HD combo.
The Shannara Chronicles stars Austin Butler, Ivana Baquero, Aaron Jakubenko and Poppy Drayton, and is executive produced by Jon Favreau. It is based on the 26-volume book series by Terry Brooks about a half-Elf tasked with halting the end of the world and filmed on the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand.
A second season of The Shannara Chronicles was officially green lit back in August and is expected to premiere in 2017.
The Shannara Chronicles Season One on Blu-ray will feature 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio and the following bonus features:
