Disney has announced the Million Dollar Arm Blu-ray release date falls on October 7. The DVD edition of the baseball film starring Jon Hamm (Mad Men) will be released the same day, though a DVD will not be included in the Blu-ray package — but a Digital HD copy will.
Million Dollar Arm is based on a true story of a sports agent who, in desperate need of finding the next Major League Baseball star, sets off to India in search of a cricket bowler (i.e. pitcher) with the necessary skill set. He finds two boys with extraordinary arms and brings them back to the United States for training and culture shock.
The Million Dollar Arm Blu-ray presentation is in the film’s original 2.39:1 aspect ratio at a resolution of 1080p, with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio support. Bonus features on the Blu-ray version include:
- Making-of Featurettes:
- Training Camp – Actors Suraj Sharma and Madhur Mittal faced the same daunting challenge that their characters Rinku and Dinesh did – learning how to pitch a baseball.
- Their Story – The real JB Bernstein, Rinku and Dinesh explore the legacy of the Million Dollar Arm contest and its impact on the lives and aspirations of children in India… and their own lives as well.
- Million Dollar Music by A.R. Rahman – The Oscar-winning composer (Best Original Score, Slumdog Millionaire, 2008) talks about creating music that encompasses two worlds – India and the U.S.
- Alternate Ending
- Deleted Scenes:
- JB’s Problem

- I’d Take Ten Dollars

A fourth deleted scene, What about Brenda?, is exclusive to the Disney Movies Anywhere digital version of the film.
