Sony Pictures Hone Entertainment are adding a little over-the-top action to this summer by announcing John McTiernan’s Last Action Hero starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 18th in a new Steelbook package.

The film has been remastered in 4K, with HDR10, from the original camera negative. Additionally there’s an all-new Dolby Atmos audio track and the original theatrical SDDS mix presented as 5.1 + original theatrical stereo audio.
Some of the Last Action Hero bonus features are also presented in 4K with HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. Here’s the rundown:

Sony ran a fan poll in 2019 for which catalog title should come to 4K Ultra HD and Last Action Hero won from over 30,000 votes.
