20th Century Studios Home Entertainment have dated Wes Ball’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes home video release date for August 27th, 2024. This includes 4K Ultra HD in standard and SteelBook packages with Dolby Atmos audio, Blu-ray and DVD.
The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes feature on Blu-ray, which is also included in the 4K editions, offers the Inside The Lens: The Raw Cut version of the film that removes the visual effects. You’ll be able to watch the fourth film in the modern Apes saga from start to finish with mo-cap actors appearing instead of the apes on one side, and the finished cut on the other. This never-before-seen cut includes an optional audio commentary by director Wes Ball, editor Dan Zimmerman and VFX supervisor Erik Winquist.
A pair of bonus features are both meaty with a making-of documentary and plethora of deleted/extended scenes to peruse.
