John Carpenter’s ‘Christine’ Coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for 35th Anniversary

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is dipping into their horror catalog to bring John Carpenter’s Carrie to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and digital platforms in 4K on September 11th.

The Carrie 4K debut coincides with the film’s 35th anniversary and will include a newly mixed Dolby Atmos audio track. There’s no mention of a new 4K transfer from the original film elements, though the 4K presentation will include HDR.

On the bonus features front, look for Carrie 4K to carry forward legacy extras from the previous Blu-ray on the inclusive Blu-ray.
