‘Indiana Jones’ 4K Collection Strongly Rumored for June Release

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas’s Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The milestone gives Paramount Home Entertainment the perfect opportunity to bring the Indiana Jones movies to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, and that’s precisely what looks like will be happening sooner rather than later.

Earlier today distributors to retail outlets added the Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection in 4K to their systems. The release date attached to the listing is June 8th, 2021, or a little more than a year earlier than when James Mangold’s Indiana Jones 5 is set to drop on July 29, 2022.

UPDATE 3: Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for the Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection in 4K.

UPDATE 2: Paramount has officially announced the Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection remastered for 4K.

UPDATE: The Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection in 4K has shown up at Target.com for pre-order.

Per the Tweet from HD Movie Source, this will be a 5-disc set meaning one disc for each of the four films and a fifth bonus disc with 4K bonus features. Those extras are most likely predominantly from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull but the verdict is still out.

We’re still at least a month or more away from when Paramount will officially announce this big 4K release. Until then, we’ll keep our eyes open for the first online trailer to drop a pre-order listing and pass it along.
