Another Guillermo del Toro modern classic, Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), is coming soon in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
The confirmation of this fantastic news comes via Amazon.com where an active pre-order listing complete with cover art (seen below) has gone live.
Though Amazon currently wants a rather steep $41.95 for the Pan’s Labyrinth 4K UHD release, their pre-order price guarantee will kick in when the cost ultimately drops closer to release.
When exactly the Pan’s Labyrinth 4K Blu-ray is coming out remains a mystery.
Its debut on 4K likely timed to coincide with the home video debut of another similar genre film this summer. Jordan Peele’s Us on June 18th is certainly a possibility, though I’d put my money on the Hellboy reboot due in either July or August at the latest.
