Warner Bros. just recently confirmed that Godzilla vs Kong drew the largest audience for an HBO Max movie or series to date while simultaneously running in limited capacity theaters. Naturally the monster-verse sequel will be highly sought after on home video this summer based on the initial interest and positive word-of-mouth.
Earlier this week Target published a Godzilla vs Kong 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray listing with an active pre-order and a June 15th, 2021 release date. The cover art above comes from that listing.
Target has since pulled the Godzilla vs Kong 4K page and pre-order entirely.
Based on the listing, for now we’ll consider June 15th as a rumored release date for Godzilla vs Kong on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD. A future official announcement, which I expect to happen within the next few weeks, will either confirm that date or shift it slightly in either direction.
