The King has returned and will defend humankind when Godzilla: King of the Monsters makes its big home video debut this August after a mediocre box office debut.
On August 13th, Godzilla: King of the Monsters will first make landfall with a Digital release. You will have to wait until an August 27th release date for the arrival of Godzilla: King of the Monsters on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos audio, Blu-ray and DVD physical disc formats.
What’s especially notable about this 4K release by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is the inclusion of HDR10+ in addition to its HDR rival, Dolby Vision. Godzilla: King of the Monsters marks the first 4K release by Warner Bros. to include HDR10+.
That inclusion doesn’t signal the end of Dolby Vision support by Warner Bros. Look at is as a way of expanding their support by including both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for a title that should appease video-philes.
The film is directed by Michael Dougherty and stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, and Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) in her big screen feature film debut. Other cast members include Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, Aisha Hinds, O’Shea Jackson Jr., David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, and Ziyi Zhang.
