Paramount Home Entertainment has officially announced the physical and digital release dates for Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson on home video.
The Digital HD version of Ghost in the Shell will arrive first on July 7th, just after the July 4th holiday. You will be able to start watching the Ghost in the Shell 4K UHD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos audio, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray or DVD editions a few weeks later on July 25th.

Ghost in the Shell had a rough go at the box office in earning just over $40 million domestically from an estimated production budget of around $110 million. Global ticket sales lifted gross ticket receipts to just under $170 million.
Given the live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime’s underwhelming box office reception, Paramount is keeping the bonus features on the light side. Included on all versions are the following:
- Hard-Wired Humanity: Making Ghost in the Shell
- Section 9: Cyber Defenders
- Man & Machine: The Ghost Philosophy
