Black Sails Season 1 Blu-ray, Digital and DVD Release Date and Details

Today is a fine day for fans of the Starz pirates series Black Sails, executive produced by Michael Bay and his partners at Platinum Dunes. Earlier today, Starz announced the Black Sails Season 2 premiere date is set for late January, 2015. To follow up that news, Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has delivered the Black Sails Season 1 Blu-ray, Digital and DVD release date that will arrive in plenty of time to catch up on the first eight episodes before the Season 2 debut.

The series tells the tale of pirates visiting or living in the former British colony of New Providence Island. It is set 20 years prior to the events in the book Treasure Island and features its two main characters: John Silver (Luke Arnold) and Captain Flint (Toby Stephens).

Black Sails: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray will include every episode on Digital HD as well. The set will span a total of three discs and carry an SRP of $59.99. The DVD SRP is $49.98 and it does not include Digital versions of each episode.

Anchor Bay is presenting the first season of Black Sails on Blu-ray in 1.78:1 1080p video and a rare 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track for a TV show. A collection of all-new bonus features are as follows:
