Leviathan cleaned up at the Golden Globes earlier this year and scored an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language film, and now Sony Pictures Classics is gearing up to bring the Russian drama to North American home video in a little over a month’s time.
Not to be confused with the American underwater horror/thriller Leviathan film from 1989, this 2014 feature is set in a small coastal Russian town where a corrupt mayor threatens to ruin a family’s business and their lives.
Sony is packing a handful of bonus features on the Leviathan Blu-ray and DVD releases befitting a film that garnered such strong international acclaim. They include the following:
